Two of my girlfriends and I traveling northbound on Alum Creek Drive, on the way to Kroger's to get my medicine we were listening to the radio and the driver Angela Moore ran a red light, broad sided a semi-tractor-trailer that's when tragedy struck and I was pinned for 2 hours and 45 minutes underneath of this big 48 ft trailer and was fully loaded with appliances.
|
I blacked out at the crash, when I woke up I wasn't for sure where I was until I realized my body was numb and I couldn't see past this big silver thing which turned out to be the tractor trailer and then I remember turning around and seeing if the other girl (Jennifer Poole) was okay, she was unconscious. |
I woke her up by asking her if she was okay and she started screaming her legs hurt at that point I could not figure out where the driver (Angela Moore) was, when I yelled for her I got no response. I thought she had gotten us in this and then she fled the scene it never dawned on me that she had died. |

At this point all I could do was scream for help and then there was a car load of people who got out and held my hand and were trying to talk to me. When the fire department, police, and ambulance got there I was still screaming and in my mind it seemed as if it took them forever to get to me out, first they got Angela out of the car, but before they could get Jennifer out. |

She had to make sure I was going to be okay because she didn't want to leave me then they were finally able to get her out. off of the fire department a guy named Scott Tiggner came in and sat with me talking to me the whole time telling me it was going to be okay and that we were in this together if I didn't come out neither would he after a while of trying to remove |
everything off of me they took the jaws of life and removed the roof off the car and that's when they pulled me out I was still conscious. When med flight came I went out of it and my lungs collapsed and I caught pneumonia by the time I made it to the hospital they were just praying that I would make it I had enough blood in my body for maybe my big toe. |

I was crushed from the neck down just luckily it didn't get my spine so imp still able to walk after the long hard process of recovering I was on life support and in a coma for 8 days and in the hospital for a total of 32 days and it going to take a long time to recover but I'm walking again I have a whole lot of metal in my legs but there is something I thank the good man upstairs for and it happens to be my life |
